On Wednesday, November 28, over twenty trees adorned the lobby of Brunswick’s Danbury Senior Living facilities. The trees, donated by local businesses, are part of a unique holiday fundraiser.
“We wanted to do something unique to celebrate the season,” explained Deb Lougheed, Danbury Executive Director. “Our Festival of Trees features a variety of decorated artificial trees, which are being displayed for a silent auction through the next few days. Not only does this create a festive atmosphere for our residents, but all proceeds will benefit the Brunswick Optimists Club, who do so much for the youth of our community.”
On Tuesday, December 4th from 4:30pm to 8:30pm, Danbury will host a special event featuring Chef Bryant’s holiday hors d’oeuvres, desserts and wines. Christmas music by Solomon will capture the holiday spirit.
Tickets, at $10 a piece, will be available for a Reverse Raffle, with the grand prize being $1,500.
“We hope that everyone will make the time to visit us and support our event on December 4th,” Lougheed added. “It promises to be a lot of fun, and for a very worthy cause.”
