Highland High School senior Jacob Rogers signed his letter of intent on December 20 to attend and play football for Bowling Green State University, where he received a full athletic scholarship. The Hornets running back was named a two-time All-Ohio, Suburban League American Offensive Player of the Year, Gazette Medina County MVP, two-time All-District, three-time All-Suburban League and three-time All-Gazette. During his career at Highland, Rogers had school records of 573 touches, 5,954 all-purpose yards, 53 touchdowns and 322 points. He was also an amazing punt returner with 43 attempts for a 23.7 average and seven TDs.
He is the son of Jeff and Gina Rogers of Granger Township and plans to major in Exercise Science/Kinesiology at BGSU. Pictured with Jacob are his parents and his brother James (left), a 2017 Highland graduate.
