The Medina County Historical Society hosted the quarterly meeting of the Northeast Ohio Intermuseum Council (NEOIMC) on October 17. Over seventy members of various historical and cultural societies toured the Medina County Historical Society’s home – The John Smart House, the Little Wiz Fire Museum, the Toy and Train Museum, and the Medina Town Hall and Engine House House Museum. Following their tours and a reception at the John Smart House, the group gathered at the A.I. Root Community Room for a dinner catered by Dennis Dube.

Medina County Historical Society’s president, Brian Feron, welcomed the group to Medina and congratulated the group on its Golden Anniverisary. After a business meeting, members gave an update of their museum’s activities. The Medina County Historical Society does have copies of the NEOIMC’s membership directory. In it is information about each museum. The night ended with a raffle and door prizes.

The event was chaired by Judy Davanzo. Other members who helped decorate, served as docents at the house, and greeted the guests were: Brian Feron, Carole Feron, Mary Jane Brewer, Mary Jo Palmer, Barb Praisler, Joe Praisler, Linda Limpert, Lila Lehrer, Tom Hilberg, Larry Prebis, Brad Grubb, Katie Palmer, and Mike Davanzo.
