Come on, everybody, here is the perfect time to do your bodies a favor while helping a worthy cause. The fifth annual Medina County Senior Walk and Health Fair, brought to you by Dave Wadsworth/Medina County Clerk of Courts and Love INC of Medina County, will take place August 30, on Medina's Historic Square, from 10 a.m. to noon.

There will be no need to run or do wind sprints, forget squats or jumping jacks, sit-ups and push-ups not required. All you have to do is walk, at your own comfortable pace, for as little or as long as you choose. Or, if walking does not appeal, come anyway and enjoy the music of Jim Gill and perhaps do a little line dancing, visit the vendors, have a health screening, or simply gather your friends for a pleasant way to start the day -- JUST FOR THE HEALTH OF IT!

The objective of this popular event is "to promote health and wellness for the 55 & Better citizens of Medina County!" However, anyone of any age is welcome to join in the fun. Just register at or go to the Medina County Office for Older Adults, 246 Northland Drive, Medina. An additional bonus: registration for this event is FREE for seniors, and free t-shirts will be given while supply lasts.

All proceeds from the sponsorships will go to the Medina County Office for Older Adults Home Delivered Meals Program that delivers meals to homebound Medina County seniors in need.

This year's Main Event Sponsors are The Echelon of Medina, Critchfield, Critchfield, and Johnston, and Carlson Funeral Homes. Blue Ribbon Sponsors are Waite and Son Funeral Homes, North Coast Sign and Lighting, and Footsteps World Travel.
