More than 200 people showed up to enjoy a spaghetti dinner at the Medina County Office for Older Adults, 246 Northland Drive, Medina. The September 21 fundraiser, hosted by the recently formed 501 (c)(3) Medina County Senior and Adult Foundation, was very successful.

President of the OOA Council Ron Bischof greeted the arriving supportive guests who not only looked forward to the tasty meal, but the opportunity as well to spend pleasant time visiting with friends in the welcoming setting.

The reasonably priced dinner of spaghetti, meatballs, tossed garden salad, garlic bread, eclair cake, and hot and cold beverages included a complimentary door prize ticket; guests could also purchase 50/50 raffle tickets.

Fundraiser Chair Mary Ann Rogers was the organizer of the event. Working with her were volunteers Joan Weigel, Diane Madonna, Linda Williams, Sean Parker, and Sally Gardner.

All proceeds from this dinner will go to benefit the Medina County Office for Older Adults. Bischof said the active center conducts three or four onsite fundraisers each year to help support the many activies and programs it offers the senior citizens in the community.

Two dozen organizations lent their support to the event: Bauer Funeral Home, Target, Fraternal Order of Eagles/3505 Ladies Auxiliary, Attentive Home Health Services, Medina County SPCA, Serenity Hospice and Palliative Care, Kiwanis Club of Medina, Gordon Food Service Store, Medina County Office for Older Adults, Coffee in the Valley, Plum Creek Senior Assisted Living Community, Progressive Quality Care, Danbury Senior Living, Medina Heating and Air Conditioning Company, Montville Township, Giant Eagle, GTB Medical Service Inc., Avenue Care and Rehabilitation Center, Hill Haven Farm and Greenhouse, Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club, Schaefer Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Inc., Buehler's, Pearlview, and Beriswill's Farm Market.
