The Medina Sunrise Rotary Club and the City of Medina invite the community to share in the 9/11 20th anniversary Memorial ceremony. This ceremony will recognize all who were impacted by the events of this date 20 years ago, with particular focus on United Airlines Flight 93 which passed over Medina County after being hijacked and then crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The ceremony will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Medina 9/11 Memorial Park, adjacent to Medina Fire Station #1, 300 W. Reagan Parkway at the corner of N. Huntington St. The park features a memorial to Flight 93 and its crew and passengers in addition to a 9+' section of a steel beam that was part of the World Trade Center North Tower, the first target struck by terrorist planes that day.
The program will begin promptly at 10 AM. Limited parking will be available at the fire station and ample parking is available at Regal Cinemas across the street.
