Dear Elementary Families,
We want to take this opportunity to make you aware of the academic resources that are available to your students during the state-mandated school closure. Your students will have continued access to Lexia (Grades K-5) and EduTyping (Grades 2-5). Additionally, all students K-5 will have access to i-Ready lessons in reading and math. Students are familiar with these resources and are encouraged to utilize them throughout the duration of the school closure. The expectation is that students progress through these resources at an individual pace, as an opportunity to access skill practice in core content. Students may find these resources by clicking HERE and then logging in through Clever. If you have difficulty accessing these resources, please click HERE to submit a tech ticket or contact our Technology Department at 330-239-1901, ext. 5500.
How to Login
As a reminder, your students access Clever at http://support.highlandschools.org. Click on the big blue C icon and enter the login and password. For elementary students, the login is the first initial + last name + last two digits of the student id @hlnd.org. The password is the first initial + last initial + student ID. For example:
The instructional resources can be accessed on most home devices. If you do not have a home device, please fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/Vo7HVLJnDAZCoEFw6.
If you are unable to complete the form online, please call 330-239-1901, ext. 1260.
We will work to distribute devices, for loan, on an as-needed basis during this state-mandated closure.
Chromebook distribution and pick-up will occur at Highland High School, lower level, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 16. Parents must pick up the Chromebooks for their students in order to sign the liability agreement. Devices will not be available for distribution prior to Monday, March 16.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
