Brunswick, OH – With the goal of supporting Medina County at-risk youth, Baskets Galore (1434 Town Center Blvd., Brunswick) has teamed with the Children’s Center of Medina County for a unique fundraiser designed to create smiles and enhance lives.
The company created a unique “Made in Medina County” gift box, featuring ten pre-packaged items from throughout the county. Ten dollars ($10) from each gift sold in 2020 will be donated to the Children’s Center of Medina County.
“We understand, with all that’s taking place in our lives today, that there’s so many Medina County non-profits that deserve not to be forgotten,” explained Deborah Wasylko, Baskets Galore president. “The Children’s Center is a blessing to all of us, and we wanted to do our part to provide them with support. The need for their services is not going away.”
“We are excited for this partnership and the community support of this project as it will help us to serve our most vulnerable population,” said Rhonda Wurgler, Children’s Center Executive Director. “Proceeds will be used for children to heal from abuse. Each year, more than 200 children receive our services.”
Items include Banana Delights (Seville); Medina Chocolate Bar (Brunswick); Homegrown Buckeye Popcorn (Wadsworth); Francine's Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt Toffee (Medina); AI Root Votive Candle (Medina); Dandy Blend Herbal Drink (Valley City); Cool Beans Pot of Coffee (Medina); Homegrown Sweet Bourbon Pretzel Crunchers (Wadsworth); Lemon Coconut Haystacks (Seville); and Just Mike's Beef Jerky (Medina).
“With people at home, a gift like this can be a pick-me-up to their spirits,” said Wasylko. “Plus, since it spotlights Medina County businesses, it’s a wonderful way to support unique local businesses in our county.”
